Gautam Gambhir On 97 Runs Innings Of world cup 2011: gautam gambhir and his statements often attract people's attention. The same thing happened this time. Gambhir made a big claim and said that the then captain ms dhoni was behind his dismissal for 97 runs in the final of the world cup 2011. Gambhir, not in direct words but in a heated tone, said that because of dhoni, he was out for 97 runs and could not complete his century.

A video is going viral on social media, in which Gambhir is talking about his inning of 97 runs played in the world cup final. Gambhir said, "Many times I have been asked what happened on 97? And one thing I tell every youngster or every person is that before 97 I never thought about my score, Sri Lanka's target. "

He further said, "I remember when the over ended, ms dhoni and I were at the crease, then after the over he told me that three runs are left, score three runs and then it will be 100. So suddenly when the mind comes to your performance, comes to your score, then something goes wrong somewhere. Before that, the target was only to chase the target of Sri Lanka. If the target had remained the same then perhaps I would have been able to score 100 easily."

Further, the former indian batsman said, "My mind went to the future because when you were on 97, you were in the present and as soon as you thought that you were three runs away from scoring 100, then that mess happens. It's very important to live in the present and that's what I always try to do."
