CSA has asked the players involved in the World Test championship to come back by 26th May, this will harm 6 teams including mumbai Indians, RCB, gujarat Titans, punjab Kings who are in the playoff race.
The final match of the ICC World Test championship will be played between australia and South Africa. The title match will be held at Lord's cricket Ground from 11th to 15th June. cricket South Africa has instructed its players included in the squad to come back by 26th May. This is so that the players can get enough time to prepare for the debut TC final.

Although there are a total of 20 South African players who are associated with different teams in IPL 2025. But out of these, there are 8 players who are part of the wtc final Squad. Out of these, 2 players are included in the mumbai Indians team.
Corbin Bosch (Mumbai Indians), Ryan Rickelton (Mumbai Indians), Vian Mulder (Sunrisers Hyderabad), Marco Jansen (Punjab Kings), Aiden Markram (Lucknow Supergiants), Lungi Ngidi (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Kagiso Rabada (Gujarat Titans), and Tristan Stubbs (Delhi Capitals) have been included in the wtc final team. Among them is only Sunrisers Hyderabad, which is still out of the playoff race.

The final match of IPL 2025 was to be played on May 25 at Eden Gardens, but it was stopped after 57 matches amid the tension between india and Pakistan. Now the date of its final has been fixed as june 3, while the wtc final will start just a week later. South African players were asked to join the team by the 26th, so that they get enough time before leaving for england on May 30.
South Africa team head coach Shukri Conrad said, "This conversation is going on between people with higher salaries than me, i.e. director of cricket (Enoch Nkwe) and Foletsi Moseki (CSA CEO), so they are dealing with it. But as it is, I don't think we are going to back down on this. We want our players back on the 26th, and hopefully it will happen."
