Their 'heroic efforts' in Operation Sindoor will be saluted during the closing ceremony of IPL 2025. bcci secretary Devjit Saikia has announced this in a media statement.

Devjit Saikia told news agency PTI on Tuesday, "We have invited the chiefs, top officials and soldiers of all indian armed forces to the IPL final in ahmedabad to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor." Saikia said that bcci salutes the 'valor, courage and selfless service' of the country's armed forces. He praised the 'heroic efforts under Operation Sindoor' which protected and inspired the nation.

Sakia further said that as a token of appreciation, we have decided to dedicate the closing ceremony to the armed forces and honour our heroes, while cricket remains a national passion but nothing is bigger than our country and its sovereignty, integrity and security. Let us tell you that General upendra Dwivedi is the army Chief while Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi is the Navy Chief. air Chief Marshal amar Preet Singh is the air Force Chief.

india launched Operation Sindoor after Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 people in a terror attack in pahalgam on april 22. Most of the people killed in the terror attack were tourists. The retaliatory action led to a brief military confrontation between the two arch rivals, after which india agreed to stop its operation on Pakistan's request for a ceasefire.
