Playing with black pieces, Arvind adopted the Sicilian Defense after his Philidor Defense attempt failed earlier.
Gukesh sacrificed a pawn in the middle game, creating attacking chances, but made a critical mistake on move 40.
Arvind capitalized on this error and secured victory in 48 moves, relegating Gukesh to the bottom of the standings.
