A important comment from Clemson Murn takes the narrative farther towards asking the public to pardon Peacemaker for Rick Flag's killing in Peacemaker episode 6, "Murn After Studying." For his 2021 film, james Gunn revived The Suicide Squad, with Joel Kinnaman's Rick Flag acting one of the very few heroes from David Ayer's 2016 Suicide Squad. His murder at the claws of john Cena's Peacemaker was unexpected, but james Gunn appears to be using it as a pivotal point in the eponymous crime defender's personality in the Peacemaker tv series.

Episode 6 picks up following the suspenseful conclusion of Peacemaker episode 5, which saw Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji) assault Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) after she discovered he was a Butterfly. When Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and Murn describe to Adebayo what happened, Leota reminds out that Murn was slain by the Butterfly somewhere inside him.

Murn shows his guilt by explaining that he required a body and went looking for the worst person he could find, and that Murn had done some bad things even before Butterfly took him under. The Butterfly, on the other hand, admits that he still regrets taking Murn's body because his recollections indicated that even somebody as bad as Murn could be saved.
