Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, believes the character's true MCU comeback should be a soft reboot. Daredevil was the first Marvel Netflix tv show, and it set the tone for the rest of the franchise. The secret to the film's success, as good as the screenplays were, was in the casting selections, particularly charlie Cox as Matt Murrdock and Vincent D'Onofriao as Kingpin.

Marvel Studios executives appear to have realised this truth, since D'Onofrio's Kingpin appears in Hawk eye and Cox's Matt Murrdock appears in Spider Man: No Way Home. With their positions feeling like apparent setup and the Marvel Netflix programmes going to Disney+ on march 16, the future is looking bright for both protagonists. The only issue that viewers have is whether Cox and D'Onoffrio are portraying the same versions of their iconic roles, or if Marvel will use the universe to do a soft relaunch.

Cox was welcomed to a discussion at the Middle east Movie and Comic Con 2022 in Abu Dhabi, where he celebrated his comeback and shared his thoughts on the matter (via The Cutaway). Although he stated that he prefers to leave the authors and writing team to make their own judgments, he did indicate that a soft relaunch was his preference.
