A junk-laden bus has been turned into a children's classroom in Kerala. Now it has become a means of entertainment along with reading for children. It was a double decker bus of kerala State Transport Corporation which has now been converted into a classroom.

This classroom has been prepared for the children of government Lower Primary School. Children are liking this very much. A two-tier classroom has been built in the old low floor bus. The Transport Corporation was about to sell two buses in junk. One of these buses was kept for the classroom. Located in the premises of the government Teacher Training Institute (TTI), Manakad, this bus has been donated to the school.

Everything from tv to AC

This is not a common classroom, but complete arrangements have been made for the comfort of the children in it. It also has tv, AC, chairs, colorful table and cupboard to keep books. Apart from this, the driver's seat and steering were not removed from this bus. This has been kept so that children can sit in it and feel like a bus and can play here.

Buses had to go in the junk

Schools were closed for two years due to Kovid and children did not come to school for a long time. Now this arrangement has been made for those small children whose schools are open since Wednesday. On May 17, state transport minister Antony Raju had agreed to provide two buses to the government school.

The KSRTC had last month told the kerala High court that 239 low floor buses with rear engines are standing idle at their depot. These 239 buses are more than nine years old and have run more than five lakh kilometers. In such a situation, the corporation has decided to send them to the junk.
