NASA has decided to collide with one of its spacecraft...

The collision of any two things in space is a big event. Accidents can occur due to the large size of the colliding objects. If colliding objects fall on the ground, they can also cause damage. Now America's space agency nasa itself is going to have one such collision in space. There is an Asteroid named Didymos and it has an artificial moon named Dimorphos. Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) is the name of this entire mission. Now preparations are on to collide these two in space itself and if all goes well, then this fierce collision will happen on 26 September.

The orbit of the Dimorphos satellite is such that it can collide with the Earth. To prevent this collision, nasa wants to change its direction. In this sequence, the DART mission has been sent. After travelling for 9 months, this satellite is now on the target of DART. nasa believes that this collision will change the direction of the satellite and the danger looming on the earth will be averted.

Space science will get big success

There is no danger to the earth from this whole exercise. If this mission is successful, then in the coming time also, by targeting any satellite or asteroid coming like Earth, its path will be blown. Actually, Didymos is a small asteroid. Dimorphos is a satellite of this i.e. its moon. The direction of this moon can harm the earth.

From the pictures sent by the DART mission, nasa scientists have full hope that Dimorphos is the right target. According to the calculations of scientists, the collision that will happen on september 26 will change the direction of Dimorphos and it will go into such an orbit which will not cause any harm to the Earth.
