All businesses and establishments covered under Section 2 (21) of the telangana businesses & Establishments Act 1988 are excluded from Section 7 (opening and closing hours), according to labor department recommendations. By requiring overtime pay, women's consent to work the night shift, to-and-from transportation for female employees working the night shift, weekly working hours, and the provision of ID cards, the standards also safeguard the welfare of employees in these enterprises. The state government charges an annual fee of Rs. 10,000 to those who desire to run 24-hour businesses.
