The Titan Submersible is thought to have imploded underwater, killing all five of its occupants. The Titan submarine's wreckage was discovered on the ocean floor, but the actual submersible or the corpses of the deceased were not. When the submarine vanished, Shahzada Dawood, a Pakistani billionaire, and his son were on board. The coast guard declared them dead after 96 hours of using its oxygen supply, however, the reports state that they think the implosion occurred much earlier.

According to Shahzada's wife Christine Dawood, her husband and son were so thrilled' to go to the ocean floor and view the titanic debris. "I think I lost hope when we passed the 96-hour mark," Mrs. Dawood said. At that point, I sent a message to my family on land informing them that I was getting ready for the worst. However, my daughter did not lose until the Coast Guard called to announce that the debris had been located.

She went on to say that her son Suleman had taken his Rubik's cube to the submersible in an effort to solve it underwater and set a new world record. Christine recalled their last exchange with the family, saying they all simply embraced and laughed because Shahzada was so eager to go down. He reminded me of a little child. She mentioned that the father-son team had wanted to accomplish this for a very, very long time. I was thrilled for them.
