
New Delhi: india has emerged as the fourth largest economy in the international arena, overtaking Japan, niti aayog CEO B. V. R. Subrahmanyam stated on Saturday.
Briefing journalists after the 10th Governing Council assembly of niti aayog, Subrahmanyam said the standard geopolitical and monetary environment is beneficial to India.
"We are the fourth largest economy as I speak. We are a $4 trillion financial system as I communicate," he stated.

Mentioning IMF records, Subrahmanyam said india today is bigger than Japan.
"It's far best US, China, and Germany, which can be larger than india, and if we stick to what's being deliberate and what's being done via, in 2.5-3 years, we are able to be the 0.33 biggest economy," Subrahmanyam.
Responding to a question on US President Donald Trump's latest announcement that he expects apple iPhones to be able to be sold inside the US to be manufactured in the US and not india or anyplace else, Subrahmanyam said, "What the tariff may be is uncertain. Given the dynamics, we will beap in the vicinity to fabricate."
He also stated that a 2D spherical asset monetization pipeline is being organized, and it will likely be announced in August.
