These three things are necessary in Hajj and Umrah

Every year, millions of Muslims from all over the world reach the city of Mecca in saudi arabia to perform Hajj. There they circle the holy Kaaba. But you must have also seen that Muslim men or women definitely cut their hair before circling the Kaaba. During Hajj or Umrah, Muslims circle the Kaaba seven times. This is called Tawaf. Tawaf starts from the black stone 'Hijr e Aswad' placed on one corner of Kaaba. During Umrah and Hajj, it is necessary to do mainly three things, Ihram, Tawaf and Sa'i.

What is Ihram, Tawaf and Sa'i?

Ihram is that in which people have to wear an unstitched white dress. It has two white sheets which are wrapped around the body. Tawaf is that in which Muslims have to enter Kaaba with the right foot and have to circle around it seven times. After this comes Sa'i. During this, Muslims have to circle seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwa. After this Halq or Takseer is done.

Why do Muslim women cut their hair?

In the world, Muslims have to shave their entire head, while women do not need to shave their heads, rather they can cut their hair to the length of a finger. That is, cutting about one inch of hair is mandatory. It is said that this ritual is very important and without this ritual, Hajj is not considered complete. After shaving their hair, all the pilgrims gather around the Kaaba and circumambulate it.
