This year marks the 13th consecutive year of this initiative, designed to facilitate comfortable travel for devotees returning to their hometowns to celebrate the festival with their families.
The special trains will depart from Dadar railway station at 11:00 AM on august 23 and 24. On august 23, the train will stop at Ratnagiri and Kudal before terminating at Sawantwadi, while on august 24, it will halt at Vaibhavwadi and Kankavali, also concluding its journey at Sawantwadi. Passengers are encouraged to register their names with their respective mandal presidents to secure tickets in advance.
Minister Rane described the trains as a gift to the people of Konkan, particularly those from Kankavali, Devgad, and Vaibhavwadi, in gratitude for their unwavering support to the bjp in recent elections. He emphasized, "This year, we are doubling the joy with two special trains to ensure more devotees can celebrate Ganeshotsav in their hometowns. We are committed to making this journey seamless and memorable."
