Whenever transgenders are seen asking you for money on any platform, or at a crossroads, then the same thing will come out of your mouth that why you do not do any work. Even after getting legal recognition, the people of this community have not been adopted by the common people. Finding work for transgenders is  still difficult. In the midst of all this , there are many such cafes in india that are working to change the lives of transgenders. Here are some examples:



Bombay Nazariya Cafe, Mumbai

All the people   working in bombay Nazriya Cafe, located in Aram Nagar, Versova area of mumbai, come from the transgender community. The owner of this restaurant Mr. Diego has done this because he wants that transgender people should also be adopted in the society like ordinary people and they should also be given employment. Along with this, the attitude of the society towards the people of this community should also be changed. 


The cafe running with the slogan 'Change the view, change the view' is a topic of discussion at this time. A staff working here told that when the cafe started earlier, people came here and started ordering. But he was shocked when he saw transgenders working as employees. However, things changed with the passage of time and today there is a queue of customers in the cafe. 


Third Eye Cafe, Navi Mumbai

In the year 2018, Third Eye Cafe in Navi mumbai also took an initiative to provide employment to the transgender community. Only transgenders are given jobs in this cafe. Restaurant owner Nimesh Shetty aims to provide equal status to transgenders in the society. About 20 transgender employees work in this cafe and the chef here has also been made for the people of these communities. The special thing about Third Eye Cafe is that there is no good morning or evening, but the staff greets by saying Namaskar.  


Nook Tea Cafe,  Chhattisgarh

In the year 2013, a cafe named Nukkad, Chaytastic Teefe was also opened in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The owner of this cafe, Priyank Patel, started a campaign to provide employment to transgenders and Divyangjan in his cafe. At that time, Priyank had to motivate the transgender community for jobs. However, over time the people of this community have broken many myths. 


Various campaigns are also run in Nook Tea Cafe. Here help is provided to the depression patients and special sessions are run for open discussion on all kinds of social taboos. It has also received the National Award for Best Employer in the year 2020 for the work done by this cafe for the employment of transgender and differently-abled people. 


Street Temptations Cafe, Noida

A transgender woman named Urooj Hussain is also running a cafe named Street Temptations located in Noida. This cafe is in Sector 119 of Noida. Before starting the cafe, Urooj had worked in a variety of sectors but had to face bad behavior every time at the workplace. Disturbed by such bad behavior, Urooj decided to open his own cafe. Urooj lived as a boy for 22 years, then in the year 2014, she changed her gender and she is now happy to be a transwoman. 


Transgender Juice Corner, Noida

This is not the first time that three transgenders together opened a juice corner at the time of Saras mela at Shilp Haat in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. They are all residents of Kerala. amrita, mithun and Anamika are working in Juice Corner. amrita told that 5 years ago she used to work in a juice corner but when her boss came to know that she was transgender, she was thrown out of the shop. After this amrita decided that she would open her own juice corner.
