“No one on this earth is against improving soil fertility. Because fertile soil is the source of our prosperous life. Healthy soil and healthy living are inextricably linked, ”Satguru told the World Economic Forum.

The World Economic Forum is being held in Davos, Switzerland. Satguru addressed the conference as a special guest on the 'Future of Cities' program, which was attended by delegates from more than 150 countries.

At the time, Satguru spoke about the need to restore soil fertility for the long-term well-being of the world, to ensure food security, to reduce the migration of people to cities, and for farmers to continue farming on their land.

He also shared his idea of a 'One Building City' to reclaim barren lands. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “In order to reduce the congestion in the cities, the construction department should consider constructing buildings in areas where there is more land outside the cities. For example, 50 to 100 storey buildings can be built on just one acre of 50 acres of land. The remaining 49 acres can be afforested for environmental development. If you want, you can grow the fruits and vegetables you need there, ”he said.

Speaking of over-investment in certain cities alone, he said, “72 per cent of economic investment in the world is made in just 31 cities. Thus, those metropolises not only act as a magnet to displace people from other districts, but also become more and more irrational, causing chaos. Instead, investments should be diversified everywhere. Jobs need to be created in the more populous rural areas. ”

Helena Kaulinga, an Ecuadorian environmental and human rights activist, and Indo-US author deepak Chopra addressed the conference.

Satguru has cycled 30,000 km in 100 days to reclaim soil fertility at the age of 65. Departing from london on march 21, they are currently traveling to the Middle east via europe and Central Asia. So far 72 countries have expressed their support for the Soil Conservation Movement.
