Words of wisdom for new moms!!!
Nobody gives more helpful parenting advice than the parents themselves. What do you think? What would you add to the list?
Many people will give you a parenting opinion; but do what is most suitable for you, your baby, and your family. And, treasure every moment because it goes by in a blink of an eye. Get loads of naps before the baby comes. Catch up on lots of pictures because kids grow so fast! Breastfeeding takes patience, but it is so deserving of it. Do not assess other parents (and their parenting techniques) and their kids.
You will not have any idea about what goes on.. in their life. Trust your instincts more than what others will tell you is 'the right thing to do'. Don't buy too many things-first time mothers do that. Whatever's happening, good, bad, or rough. It will pass. It really will. No phase will last forever.
Several people will give you advice, whether they are parents or not. Do what you think in your Soul and it will be the right thing to prepare. Don't invest in all the how-to books! It's a learning process and every baby is different! Enjoy every second, let a kid play and get dirty, and do what works best for you and your child.
