Sunny's real name was Karanjit Kaur Vohra. But after starting working in the adult industry in the early 2000s, she changed her name to Sunny Leone. Recently in an interview, he revealed how he got his stage name.

Sunny Leone said, “I was giving an interview for a magazine in America, during this the person sitting in front of me asked me, do you want to keep your name something else? I couldn't think of anything at that moment. And they were the ones who kept asking 'what would you like your name to be,' and I said, 'use Sunny as my first name, and then you can choose a last name.'

The actress told, “Sunny is my brother's nickname. His name is sandeep Singh, we call him Sunny. My mother hated that I named myself Sunny. He also told me that out of all the names, you have chosen that name?' I said, yes, that's what came to my mind and then the magazine chose the last name and I kept it like that."
Sunny told, “Her second name 'Leoni' was given to her by the Italian owner of the magazine in which she was interviewed. 'I was only 19, I came to know about this second name after it was published.'
