PM Modi presents honorary doctorate to Ilayaraja..!

Prime minister Modi has honored ilayaraja with an honorary doctorate for his contribution to the world of music. prime minister Modi visited tamil Nadu today to participate in the 36th convocation ceremony of Gandhigram university located in Chinnalambatti, Dindigul district.
Chief minister Stalin welcomed the prime minister who arrived in tamil Nadu and gave him five parts of the english translation of Kalki's 'Ponniyin Selvan', a historical book of the Cholas, as a souvenir. Later, the prime minister came to the stage wearing a gandhi hat. He awarded degrees to students who attended the university in the academic year 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. Following this, prime minister Musician ilayaraja awarded an honorary doctorate to Ilaya Raja, who has continued his musical career by composing music for more than 1000 films in the film industry.
Governor RN Ravi, Union minister of State L. Murugan, many political leaders, university students, and teachers participated in this program. It is noteworthy that tight security has been put in place in the Dindigul district in connection with the visit of prime minister Modi. Recently, ilayaraja was also nominated as a member of the parliament of the Rajya Sabha.
