M Mahender reddy, a senior IPS officer and telangana Director General of police, will be honoured for his unwavering loyalty to the telangana rashtra samithi government led by chief minister K chandrasekhar Rao. According to media sources, Mahender reddy, who is slated to retire at the end of december, is planning to enter politics by joining the TRS. He might be rewarded with a prominent position in the party and a ticket to the next elections, which could be for the state legislature or the Lok Sabha.

KCR has recently been lavishing accolades on Mahender reddy at every opportunity. During the inauguration of the Command and Control Centre in Hyderabad, the chief minister praised the DGP for conceptualising the control centre concept. He mentioned Mahender Reddy's retirement in december and stated that the government would continue to utilise his skills in some capacity following his retirement. "He may not wear the police uniform again," kcr announced, "but we will utilise his skills in other clothes." This has sparked speculation that the chief minister is considering welcoming Mahender reddy into politics and rewarding him with an appropriate position.

With barely one month until his retirement, the DGP's return to politics has once again become a hot topic of conversation. There have been countless cases of bureaucrats and IPS personnel entering politics shortly after retiring or retiring prematurely. Venkatrami reddy, a collector from Siddipet, recently left the VRS and joined the trs to become an MLC. It will be fascinating to watch what position the retired DGP will take in the TRS.
