Google Calendar users are experiencing a bug...

A problem in google Calendar causes random events to be generated based on emails in users' Gmail inboxes. The google Calendar software for iOS and Android smartphones appears to be having this issue, which several users have reportedly noticed. twitter users have also drawn attention to the problem by sharing pictures of their crooked calendars there to spread the word.

Users have reportedly observed that bogus events have been appearing on their google Calendar that appear to have been caused by messages in their Gmail inbox, according to a report by 9to5Google. The majority of the incorrectly created events appear to be daily occurrences, and they were probably caused by a bug in the Gmail mobile application that was installed on select Android and iOS devices. The report claims that it is not quite clear which specific bug is to blame for this happening.

Users of google Calendar can prevent the issue by navigating to Settings > events > Turn Off "Automatically add events from Gmail to my calendar" in order to keep their schedules uncluttered. This will prevent google Calendar from checking your Gmail for forthcoming events and notifying you of them.

Many twitter users have been seen tweeting pictures of their google Calendar programmes, which appear to be crammed with meaningless, 24-hour appointments.

It's important to note that google hasn't formally acknowledged the alleged flaw, talked about it, or offered a fix. Last year, the Alphabet-owned search engine launched an entry feature called "Focus time" that let users specify a time during which they would be automatically excused from any meetings.
