A 17-year-old girl from kerala became the youngest organ donor in the country. Devananda, a native of thrissur and a Plus Two student, has achieved a rare feat. Devananda donated her  liver to his 48-year-old father. It is also noteworthy that Devananda has acquired the achievement by crossing the barriers of the law to save the life of his father Pratish. After waiting for a long time, Pratish could not find a suitable liver and his daughter came forward ready for organ donation.

The liver transplant was done at Aluva Rajagiri Hospital. The hospital also received applause for bearing the entire cost of Devananda's treatment. The Pratish family was running a cafe in Thrissur. During this, Pratish got cancer in the liver with this, there was no solution except a liver transplant. With this, Pratish started searching for a suitable donor. Devananda was coming forward after not getting a suitable donor for a long time. Devananda had learned about liver transplantation and its possibilities by looking on the Internet.

After this, Devananda made such a demand. But the country's law that states 18 years of age for organ donation has become a stumbling block to this effort. But Devananda was not ready to back down. In the re-investigation, it was learned that before this, a minor had done organ donation with the permission of the court.

With this, Devananda was moving through the path of law. Appreciating Devananda's determination, the court allowed organ donation. With this, Devananda prepared for the surgery with a proper diet and regular exercise. The doctors declared that the surgery was a success. After a week in the hospital, Devananda is back to normal life. father Pratish is also on the comeback trail. Devananda studies at thrissur Sacred heart Convent School. Devananda says that he feels proud, happy and relieved after the surgery.
