K chandrasekhar Rao, the president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and the chief minister of telangana, has convened an urgent conference of all the senior party leaders for this friday to go through the most recent developments in the state. The meeting was held in response to rumours that the Enforcement Directorate may detain Kalvakuntla Kavitha, an MLC and daughter of Hyderabad-based entrepreneur kcr, in connection with the delhi liquor policy fraud. Her name appeared on Arun Ramchandra Pillai's remand report.

BRS MPs, MLAs, and members of the party general body will attend the meeting on friday at 2 p.m. in telangana Bhavan, according to party sources. The gathering is also open to BRS district presidents, chairs of state-level corporations, Zilla Parishads, and others. kcr would reportedly give a briefing on the most recent developments, including the witch hunt against opposition leaders by the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation.

According to insiders, the party would intensify its protests and engage the populace if kavitha were to be imprisoned. Even though there are still eight months till the assembly elections, kcr may express his position on moving up the polls in the state and solicit advice from the party leaders. He would hold in-depth discussions and create an action plan for the party and its regional and federal activities. According to insiders, the summit would also discuss ways to increase public awareness of government initiatives and their effects on telangana residents' lives.

On thursday at 2 PM, the State cabinet meeting is also slated to take place at pragathi Bhavan. Apart from discussing government projects, the cabinet is likely to take critical decisions pertaining to their implementation. During the meeting, the names of the two candidates who will be nominated for the State Legislative Council in accordance with the Governor's quota are also anticipated.
