The last time 20 or more Covid deaths were reported was on october 15 last year.Three deaths each were reported in delhi and rajasthan, and two each in punjab and Chhattisgarh. Three more deaths were reported in rajasthan on friday, while four died in Maharashtra. On friday, the number of people affected by the coronavirus in the country crossed 50,000 for the first time since september 7 last year. The daily infection rate crossed 5% on Thursday. In the last 24 hours, 2.21 lakh Covid tests have been conducted in the country. Of them, 11,109 (5.01%) were confirmed to be infected with Covid-19. As of friday night, 153 deaths from Covid-19 had been reported in the first two weeks of April. 89 people died in march alone. With this, the total number of deaths due to corona infection in the country has reached 5,32,309 so far.
