Omicron Precautionary Measures: 275 beds set in Chennai!!!

Minister of Medical and Public Welfare Ma Subramanian said that the government of tamil Nadu has taken appropriate precautionary measures to prevent the spread of omicron infection. The omicron virus has appeared in south africa and is spreading and threatening other countries. As a precautionary measure, 275 beds have been set up at the government Hospital in chennai as it is considered to be highly contagious and malignant. Federal and state governments are making all arrangements to prevent the spread of the omicron virus. Measures to check and isolate foreigners at the airport have been intensified. Medical monitoring activities have been intensified within the states.

The Department of Medicine and Public Welfare has advised allocating 150 beds in all government Medical college Hospitals in tamil Nadu for the isolation and monitoring of persons infected with the omicron virus. Accordingly, 150 beds have been prepared and allotted for the first phase on the 4th floor of the rajiv gandhi government Hospital, Chennai. A total of 275 beds, including 75 beds at the Stanley government Hospital in chennai and 15 ICU beds and 35 general beds at the Omandurar government Hospital, have been prepared for the infected people. 

Following this, international countries including the united states and britain have canceled flights to South Africa. This has led to a re-emergence of economic stagnation. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that shutting down airlines alone will not stop the spread of the disease.
