Schools from Class 1 to Class 12 in pondicherry reopened wednesday morning after a 20-month hiatus (December 6). In addition, the 9th to 12th grades and colleges, which had only been open for half a day, was reopened. The schoolchildren, on the other hand, suffered as a result of the student buses' failure to run. Because the tender for student transportation has still to be concluded, several students arrived at school in a dangerous condition, clinging to private buses. There have also been requests for all youngsters to be served lunch.

To avoid the spread of corona, public and private schools and colleges in pondicherry were closed in march 2020. Since September, classes 9 through 12 and colleges have been open. The decision was then made to open classes 1 through 8 in November. However, due to the intensity of the northeast monsoon, it was unable to open. The people and teachers asked that schools be reopened in this situation. Classes were not just held in puducherry when they were held in tamil Nadu.

The first schools are now completely operational after twenty months. Classes 1 through 12 are scheduled one day apart. At the same time, 1st to 8th grades are part-time, while 9th to 12th grades are full-time beginning today. The schools had been thoroughly cleaned, and the students had been welcomed. The temperature was tested and disinfected in accordance with corona regulations. The campus of certain schools was adorned as if it were a festival, and children were welcomed. Children arriving for the first time at school were dressed in evening costume.
