Former congress President rahul gandhi has denounced the federal government's policy of self-immolation, noting that the statue of equality was erected in China. A spectacular 45-acre temple has been built at the chinna Jiyar Ashram in the Muchindal area near hyderabad to honour the 1000th anniversary of the birth of Vaishnava priest Ramanujar. On the Padma Peetha, there is a 216-foot-tall Panchaloka statue of Ramanuja. This statue was just unveiled recently. The event was attended by prime minister Modi.



The Ramanujar statue, according to former congress leader rahul gandhi, was designed in China. On his twitter feed, he stated, "China is the new India, according to Nirbar. china produces the statue of equality. China-Nirbar is the 'New India.' "..A Chinese business, according to the project website, created the 216-foot statue of Ramanujacharya in Hyderabad. In 2015, China's Aerosun Corporation was granted the contract for the 135 crore statue. 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the statue on february 5. The monument is a memorial to the Hindu saint Sri Ramanujacharya and is one of the world's tallest metallic statues in a sitting position. It's on the outskirts of hyderabad, in a 45-acre complex. The Rs1,000-crore project was fully supported by donations from followers throughout the world.
