The first trailer for Thor: love and Thunder has been published, and it contains fresh information about the highly anticipated Phase 4 Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Thor: Ragnarok's success rekindled interest in chris Hemsworth's god of thunder, giving Marvel Studios the confidence to create a fourth solo Thor picture, with writer/director Taika Waititi returning to direct. Because of this partnership, as well as several other interesting developments in the teaser trailer, Thor: love and Thunder is one of the most anticipated MCU projects of Phase 4.

Thor: love and Thunder picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame and focuses on Hemsworth's Thor Odinson's development. After leaving Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy at the end of the Infinity Saga, he works with them in the film. New Asgard is left under the control of king Valkyrie while Thor explores the cosmos and tries to understand out who he is (Tessa Thompson). Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is also set to return for the first time since Thor: The Dark World, as the upcoming MCU film will see Thor's former girlfriend transformed into a superhero known as Mighty Thor. Gorr the god Butcher (Christian Bale), a strong god-killing creature, will face off against this group of heroes.
