On Monday, a jilted lover in Andhra Pradesh's nellore district killed a girl with the same weapon he used to kill himself. The horrifying occurrence occurred in Podalakuru mandal's Tatiparti village. M. suresh reddy, 30, fatally shot Kavya reddy, 24, and then turned the gun on himself. Both were software engineers who had previously collaborated at a Bangalore-based IT firm.

Suresh reddy was working for a company in Bangalore, while Kavya worked for a company in Pune. Since the Covid-19 outbreak came out, both have been working from home. suresh reddy allegedly barged into Kavya's home. He pushed her sister aside and fired two rounds from his handgun at Kavya when she got in the way. The first bullet missed her, but the second shattered her skull. Neighbors attempted to transport her to a hospital, but she died en route. suresh reddy shot himself in the head with the same revolver after leaving Kavya's residence and died instantly.

It was a one-sided love, according to nellore Superintendent of police Vijay Kumar. suresh reddy had been nagging her to return the favour by calling and texting her. suresh reddy had also dispatched her parents to Kavya's place with the marriage proposal earlier this month. The girl's parents, however, turned down the proposal because she did not want to marry him. suresh reddy, according to Kavya's relatives, was enraged by this, which led to her death and his suicide.
