Charge for linking Aadhaar number with EB connection..!?
The electricity Board has issued a stern warning to the officials about taking money from the public during the process of linking the Aadhaar number with an electricity connection. tamil Nadu government has ordered to link the Aadhaar number with an electricity connection. Following this, after various confusions arose among the public, electricity minister Senthil balaji gave various explanations. In it, he said that by keeping the same Aadhaar, one can connect to 10 electricity tariff connections, 100 units of free electricity, subsidies for agricultural electricity connections will continue, even if one has 5 electricity connections, 100 units of free electricity will continue, and the subsidies will be canceled if Aadhaar is linked.
In this situation, there was a complaint that money was being collected in a special camp set up in the electricity Board office to link the Aadhaar number. In this regard, the electricity Board has sent a circular to the officials as per the order of minister Senthil Balaji. Among them, priority should be given to the elderly and differently-abled persons coming to special camps, and computers should be kept ready as an alternative arrangement in case of technical failure in the computer during the connection work. For the camps held from 10.30 AM to 5.15 PM, the Power Board officials have to work without a lunch break and tea break.
