In an internet casino, a farmer's son spent away Rs 92 lakh that he had been paid as compensation for the land the government had taken. The horrifying occurrence occurred in the telangana district of Rangareddy, which is close to Hyderabad. After his younger son practically went broke playing mobile phone online games, srinivas Reddy's family was reduced to absolute poverty. The government has purchased 10 acres belonging to srinivas reddy in Sitarampur, Shahbad mandal, for telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC). At a rate of Rs 10.5 lakh per acre, he was awarded compensation in the amount of Rs 1.05 crore.

He intended to use this money to purchase a half-acre plot of property in Mallapur, a shamshabad mandal located outside of Hyderabad. He signed a contract for Rs. 70 lakh and gave Rs. 20 lakh as a down payment. srinivas reddy put 42.5 lakh rupees of the remaining 85 lakh rupees into his own bank account and the rest into the account of his wife Vijayalaxmi. The money was transferred from his father's account to his account by the couple's younger son, Harshvardhan reddy, a first-year degree student at Hyderabad's Nizam College, who promised to pay the landowner. The 19-year-old told her mother the same thing and forced her to take the cash out of her account.

The young person, who had developed an addiction to playing online games, began depositing money into online casinos over time. He lost all of the money in a matter of weeks. He admitted losing the money when his parents asked him about it. The couple, together with their B Tech student older son Sirpal reddy, were traumatised. According to reports, Harshvardhan reddy also borrowed Rs 7 lakh from certain villagers to use for gaming. srinivas reddy has contacted the Cyberabad police commissionerate's cybercrime unit with a request for assistance in recovering the funds, as they were the family's sole source of sustenance.
