Generally speaking, M venkaiah naidu, a former vice president of India, is seen as N Chandrababu Naidu's follower and the leader of the telugu Desam Party.

Reason: They get along well because they both come from the same community and venkaiah used to play a significant role at the Center. In fact, there was a claim that the BJP's failure to become a significant force in andhra pradesh was due to his strong friendship with Naidu. But there appears to be a gulf between him and Naidu now that venkaiah has stepped down from his position as vice president of India.

Although there was conjecture that venkaiah would serve as an indirect counsellor to Naidu after retirement, the two of them had never met. venkaiah has been surprisingly criticising Naidu occasionally, albeit in an indirect manner. The former vice president also made some intriguing remarks on saturday that Naidu perceived as critical. Participating in the centennial celebrations of ntr in Tenali, venkaiah claimed that ntr had a flawless reputation and had no animosity toward anyone.

He was incredibly naïve and inclined to believe everyone. Because of this, he was betrayed by individuals in whom he had placed blind faith. venkaiah claimed that ntr was backstabbed in politics and was unable to recover because he was unable to detect the plots and cunning of his own people due to his naive belief in them. Although he did not name them specifically, Naidu was the target of his remarks since he still has to live with the shame of betraying his own father-in-law.
