India extended their record by winning their eighth Asia Cup championship in 2023 by defeating sri lanka by a margin of 10 wickets. Leading the charge, mohammed siraj took six wickets to hold the defending champions to just 50 runs. On Sunday, september 10, at the R. Before taking out Kusal Mendis, who had scored the most runs in the Sri Lankan batting order and was on 17, the star pacer took out Dasun Shanaka, who was Siraj's fifth victim.
