Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of the All india Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), on sunday urged Congressman rahul gandhi to run in the next lok sabha elections from hyderabad rather than Wayanad. The AIMIM mp was giving a speech to a crowd of people in hyderabad, his parliamentary district.

Owaisi said that the Babri Masjid, in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, was demolished under the regime of the grand old party. “I am challenging your leader (Rahul Gandhi) to contest elections from hyderabad and not Wayanad. You keep giving big statements, come to the ground and fight against me. people from congress will say a lot of things, but I am ready…Babri Masjid and Secretariat’s mosque were demolished under the congress regime…” he said.

The congress and AIMIM are fighting it out in telangana for control of the state's government in the next assembly elections, which are expected to take place later this year. rahul gandhi said that the Bharatiya Janata party, Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and AIMIM are collaborating in telangana and that his party is battling against this troika earlier this month when addressing at the Vijayabheri Sabha in the telangana town of Tukkuguda.

"In telangana, the congress party is collaborating with BRS, BJP, and AIMIM rather than fighting against BRS. They may identify as distinct parties, but they are unified in their efforts, according to rahul Gandhi. The wayanad mp further asserted that since prime minister Narendra Modi views K Chandrashekar Rao of telangana and asaduddin owaisi of AIMIM as his "own people," there are no CBI-ED charges against them.

All competing political parties are doing all in their power to win the telangana assembly elections. While the congress has released its "six guarantees" that the party claims would be fulfilled if they are elected to power, the ruling BRS has already announced its list of candidates.
