On Friday, a student at Gitam university in hyderabad jumped to her death from the fifth floor of the varsity building. renu Sri, 18, was a first-year engineering student at the university's Rudraram campus in the sangareddy area of Hyderabad. The student started at the university three months ago in the Computer Science Engineering program.

A video of the event went viral on social media. renu may be seen sitting on the parapet wall and talking on her phone. She then hung off the phone and leaned forward, one hand on the parapet wall, before plunging. She was seriously injured and died on the scene. Cries of individuals who witnessed her fall can also be heard on the video.

The deceased was sent to Area Hospital patancheru for an autopsy by police. Her family lives in Hyderabad's madhapur neighborhood. The reason for her drastic action remained unknown. police opened an investigation after filing a report. It is unknown what motivated her to take such drastic measures. renu Sri's parents, who live in madhapur, allegedly hurried to the hospital where her body was brought after learning of the tragedy.

A suicide video documented the student's final moments. renu Sri was seen sitting on a balcony wall on the fifth story, presumably meditating for a few seconds. students can be heard debating the problem in the background, and their voices change to cries of dread as she goes the extreme step.
