The South Central Railways zone has decided to establish three state-of-the-art repair depots for Vande Bharat trains, after the trains' great popularity among rail travellers. SCR has suggested building three state-of-the-art repair depots to offer these semi-high-speed trains the best possible servicing.
 
 Officials say that there will be three depots: one in Tellapur, one at the future fourth passenger terminal in Cherlapally, and one in Tirupati. In the last interim budget, around Rs 10 crore has been set enough for the maintenance of the VB trains. At the moment, vijayawada and tirupati are handling Other End Maintenance, while secunderabad and Kacheguda Coaching Yards are doing Primary Maintenance. Furthermore, the hyderabad (Nampally) Coaching Yard has another line with overhead equipment (OHE) facilities so that repair may be performed in the event of necessity.
 
"Visakhapatnam – secunderabad – Visakhapatnam, the first Vande Bharat Express train, began commercial service in january of last year. Primary maintenance is performed at Visakhapatnam, while end maintenance is performed at secunderabad station. Primary and other end maintenance are performed at secunderabad and tirupati, respectively, for the Second VB Express. Third Vande Bharat Express Secunderabad-Yeshwantpur receives its other end maintenance at Yeshwantpur and its major maintenance at Kacheguda.
 
 Similar to this, vijayawada handles other end maintenance for the Fourth Vande Bharat Express (Chennai-Central) while chennai Central handles primary maintenance. Primary and other end repairs are conducted in mumbai for the fifth VB Express (Mumbai-Jalna).The senior officer stated, "Even primary maintenance is coming up at Jalna along with these three proposed depots.

The facilities at these three contemporary depots will include a heavy repair shed, an EOT crane for coach lifting, and a designated washing line. Construction would begin as soon as the Railways approved the proposed depots. On Vande Bharat Express Trains, two primary types of maintenance activities are often performed: weekly maintenance, which is done once a week, and daily examination, which is done for four hours every day at secunderabad and Kacheguda. To get training for managing the maintenance of the Vande Bharat Express Trains, staff members have been dispatched to a variety of locations, including the Integral Coach Factory in chennai, the mumbai Coaching Yard, the Shakurbasti train Depot, etc.
