"Manjummel Boys" is causing quite a stir and is on the verge of being the first malayalam movie to gross $1 million or more in North America. In this Chidambaram-directed survival thriller, a group of friends travel to Kodaikanal, tamil Nadu, and become entangled in dangerous situations. Trade analysts forecast that "Manjummel Boys," whose present earnings are close to $700,000, would cross $1 million in North America by the end of the next week. Interestingly, the movie earned $161,806 on its second saturday in the United States, raising its total to $636,454.

This achievement surpasses earlier successes like "Lucifer" and places "Manjummel Boys" as the highest-earning malayalam movie in North America. It also creates a new record for the area. It's especially noteworthy that the movie has the highest return on investment (ROI) of any malayalam movie released in the United States. The fact that a movie without a major actor or large budget is causing such a stir in the celebrity-driven US market is quite amazing.

Since its premiere on february 22, Manjummel Boys has earned Rs 79 crores globally, according to box office monitoring website Sacnilk. The survival thriller brought in a total of Rs 26.35 crore during its first week of release. On day 11, it made its highest-ever revenue of Rs 9.25 crore. Day 11 attendance for the movie was 75%, and nighttime showings saw 86% occupancy.
