Since the telangana government announced plans to build a metro rail between rajiv gandhi International airport (RGIA) and Chandrayangutta, land grabbers from the local mafias in and around Jalpally have become more interested in Waqf properties due to the spike in land prices. Near the proposed metro rail line are Waqf holdings spanning several hundred acres in Jalpally, Mamidpally, and Pahadi Shareef. Land prices have increased in the previous two weeks alone, mostly due to the project.

A 718-acre portion of Ashoorkhana ali Saad and Dargah Hazrat Saif Nawaz Jung's property in Mamidipally, which is located in Jalpally and Mamidpally, is reportedly in danger, according to sources. "The TS Waqf Board has endowed property, and the land mafia and encroachers are drawing boundaries around the Waqf assets and trying to sell them. local social activist Mahboob Pasha claimed, "The land is shown in different survey numbers to cheat the people, revenue department, and registration department officials."

As things stand, the land mafia in Mamidipally and Pahadishareef have taken possession of and sold a portion of the 2131 acres of Dargah Sharfuddin property granted by the TS Waqf Board. Although the Waqf Board has brought legal action against the encroachers, encroachments continue with the active assistance of local law enforcement and political figures.

According to unnamed Muslim community leaders, there have been no significant inspections by TS Waqf Board officials in the last three years at Jalpally, Pahadishareef, and Mamidpally regions, which has given encroachers more confidence.

Land values in the places the proposed metro rail line will cross have skyrocketed since the telangana government proposed it. At the expense of the community, the land mafia would probably intrude and sell Waqf lands in order to profit.

Moreover, activists from Hyderabad's Old City demand that the telangana State Waqf Board provide the government some land so that it may build double-bedroom homes for the neighborhood's impoverished residents.

"The excessively high rents in the city are overwhelming people." The neighbourhood will gain and the economy will strengthen if government housing is built. One local social worker, Minhaj Ahmed, advised that the Waqf Board consider building education institutes and dormitories for women and girls.
