Since its june 7 premiere, the horror-comedy "Munjya," starring Mona Singh, Sharvari Wagh, and Abhay Verma, has been attracting crowds to movie theatres. After a robust opening weekend for the movie on friday and Saturday, it held steady on Sunday, june 9.
 

'Munjya' made Rs 7.75 crore at the box office on Day 3 (Sunday, june 9), taking its three-day total to Rs 19 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The movie made Rs 4 crore at its friday opening and Rs 7.25 crore on Saturday. With the largest attendance for the evening shows, it maintained an overall occupancy of 36.64% across the Hindi-speaking belt on Sunday.
 
The film has been an unexpected smash, outperforming both ajay Devgn's "Maidaan" and janhvi kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's "Mr and Mrs Mahi." 'Mr and Mrs Mahi', a sports-based drama, earned Rs 16.85 crore in its first weekend, compared to 'Munjya's' Rs 19 crore. Even 'Maidaan' trailed behind 'Munjya', collecting Rs 9.8 crore within three days of its release.

Film trade analyst Taran adarsh shared how 'Munjya's' box office performance has "stunned" the film industry. He noted on X, " Stay tuned for more updates.
