With Bhool Bhulaiya 2, released in 2022, kartik aaryan became the first hero in bollywood to achieve a 180-crore blockbuster in the post-pandemic age. He was regarded as the younger generation's next major star. But Shehzada, his most recent movie, was a complete flop. Right now, everyone is focused about chandu Champion, his impending biography.

Chandu champion, which is helmed by the highly regarded kabir khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, narrates the motivational tale of Paralympian gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. chandu Champion was the first movie to declare that advance reservations will be available on the Burj Khalifa in an attempt to create excitement.

These marketing initiatives, nevertheless, have not succeeded. The movie's presale sales have been appalling despite its enormous budget, high-profile production, and aggressive marketing tactics. industry experts surmise that the makers may have attempted to fabricate advance sales figures in order to provide the impression of strong demand, but even this tactic has not succeeded in piqueing interest.

Not even 5,000 tickets have been sold at any of the three national chains of multiplexes (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis). The original goal was a 15-crore opening day, which would have been respectable for the movie. With estimates dropping to only 5–6 crores, even a 10-crore opening now appears improbable.

Word-of-mouth now plays a major role in the film's destiny. For there to be any chance of a remarkable improvement in its box office performance, it must have a resoundingly favourable reception on opening day. After Maidaan's terrible performance, chandu Champion's failure would be another big blow to sports biopics in recent memory.
