Word-of-mouth now plays a major role in the film's destiny. For there to be any chance of a remarkable improvement in its box office performance, it must have a resoundingly favourable reception on opening day. After Maidaan's terrible performance, chandu Champion's failure would be another big blow to sports biopics in recent memory.
