From children to adults, they are drinking milk for health. In this situation, the price of milk has increased 3 times in the last 6 months alone. South India's leading private dairy company, Hatsun's, on march 14th arbitrarily increased the selling price of Arogya milk by Rs. 4.00 per liter and the selling price of yogurt by Rs. 3.00 per liter. Following the company, all private dairy companies in tamil Nadu and neighboring states immediately implemented the increase in the selling price of milk and yogurt. However, those companies increased the selling price of milk and yogurt by only Rs. 2.00 per liter. All private dairy companies, which had already increased the selling prices of milk and yogurt in the first week of december last year (2024) and the first week of february this year (2025),
In the next month (from march 14), they increased the selling prices of milk and yogurt again, shocking not only the general public but also retailers, tea shop owners, restaurants, sweet shops, and canteen operators. While the milk sales of leading private dairy companies, which had increased the selling prices due to the increase in milk prices, have started to decline, the milk sales of Hatsun Company, which had increased the selling prices to an unprecedented extent, have also started to face a sharp decline. With the aim of increasing the low milk sales volume, it has decided to reduce the selling price of full-fat milk for commercial use by Rs. 4.00 per liter, initially by Rs. 2.00 per liter on april 21st,
From today (24.04.2025), the company has now implemented a reduction in the selling price of Rs. 4.00 per liter, from Rs. 2.00 per liter. Accordingly, the price of a 500 ml full-fat milk packet of Arokya has been reduced from Rs. 40.00 to Rs. 38.00, and the price of a 1-liter full-fat milk packet of Arokya has been reduced from Rs. 75.00 to Rs. 71.00. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the selling price of standardized milk and yogurt has not been reduced. In a statement issued by the tamil Nadu Milk Agents workers Welfare Association, the state president of the tamil Nadu Milk Agents workers Welfare Association, Ponusamy, said that Hatsun, which increased the selling price of milk (full fat and stabilized milk) and curd in march, has now come forward to reduce the selling price of milk only, especially the fact that it has come forward to reduce the selling price of full-fat milk only. Therefore, Hatsun should come forward to reduce not only the selling price of full-fat milk but also the selling price of stabilized milk and curd, which was increased in march last year.

In addition, the tamil Nadu Milk Agents workers Welfare Association insists that all private milk companies in tamil Nadu and neighboring states, which increased the selling price of milk and curd in march, should follow Hudson and immediately reduce its selling price. The tamil Nadu Milk Agents workers Welfare Association has requested all private milk companies to act keeping in mind that the public and retailers will retaliate appropriately against private milk companies that do not come forward to reduce the selling prices of milk and yogurt.
