Gopichand Malineni's full-on action entertainer Jaat, starring sunny deol, was well-received at the box office. Everyone gave the director kudos for showcasing sunny deol in a unique avatar. The bollywood action star once again dazzled the public with Gadar 2. However, did you know that sunny deol wasn't initially selected for this film?
 
Gopichand Malineni originally intended to work on this film with balakrishna, a tollywood actor.  "After Krack, I approached balakrishna Garu with the Jaat story and got the green signal, too," the director disclosed in a recent interview.  However, balayya Garu claimed that after Akhanda, expectations had increased and that a faction backdrop would better satisfy them.  Thus, Veera simha Reddy came into being.

Despite Veera simha Reddy's monetary success, some believe balakrishna should have opted for Jaat instead of the faction movie.  Jaat was developed by movie MAKERS' target='_blank' title='mythri movie makers-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>mythri movie makers in collaboration with people media Factory.  Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, Viineet Kumar Siingh, and randeep hooda all play important parts in Jaat.  The composer of the music is Thaman S. 

On Thursday, Jaat made Rs 9.5 crore at the box office to start its voyage.  Fans were hoped the movie would match, if not exceed, Sunny's last film Gadar 2's enormous opening of Rs 40.1 crore, however it opened lower than anticipated.  The movie's earnings dropped by more than 26% on Friday, earning Rs 7 crore.  But there was some positive news over the weekend.  On Saturday, Jaat made Rs 9.75 crore, while on Sunday, it made Rs 14 crore.
