They have stated that they are only recommending essential travel. A few days ago, another travel booking portal, EasyMyTrip, also made a similar announcement regarding these two countries. The company says that 22 percent of cancellations have occurred in turkey and 30 percent in azerbaijan in the last week. Even though it has been told not to cancel those who have already booked, tourists are not interested in going to those countries. On the other hand, wholesalers are known to say no to selling Turkish apples imported from that country as part of the boycott of Turkey.
It is said that the turnover of Turkish apples during the season is around Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1200 crore. With this, traders are saying that the decision to boycott Turkish apples will have a serious impact on the fruit market. As an alternative, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Iran, etc., are interested in buying from other countries. It goes without saying that the slogan of boycotting turkey will expand further.
