Taking Lagaan to the Oscars or deciding to take a break from acting for a period to concentrate entirely on producing are just two examples of how aamir khan has never shied away from a challenge.  Aamir is once again shown that he isn't scared to defy expectations with his next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par.

He has declared that the movie will be made available on YouTube on a pay-per-view basis following its eight-week theatrical run.  Aamir is unwilling to give up all of the rights to his films in order to guarantee an OTT release, in contrast to the majority of producers nowadays who are eager to sell the rights to these platforms.

Of course, there are issues with Aamir's choice.  There is a remote possibility that many viewers will be willing to pay more only to watch Sitaare Zameen Par, given that they are already paying substantial sums for OTT subscriptions.  Furthermore, posting the movie on YouTube raises the possibility that excellent pirated versions may proliferate rapidly.

Aamir's approach is daring, though, since it challenges OTT reliance and advocates for greater creative and commercial independence in the industry at a time when producers aren't even allowed to use trailers from their own movies for marketing because they have already sold all the rights to OTT platforms.  He is still among the few celebrities who recognize the value of preserving theaters.  Aamir has continuously emphasized the importance of the cinematic experience in the current OTT-dominated era, even though many may not agree with his recent run of remakes.

Although his choice is unquestionably dangerous, it is also a revolutionary one.  He has stated unequivocally to OTT platforms that he will not submit, saying, "Jhukega nahi saala!"  Supporters are hope it works out for Aamir as well as for the greater good of film.
