Plane Crash: Investigation of ahmedabad plane crash intensifies, high-level meeting discusses civil aviation security

The investigation of the ahmedabad plane crash has intensified. On monday, the high-level committee formed to investigate the plane crash discussed civil aviation security. The committee headed by Union home Secretary Govind Mohan listened to different stakeholders about the possible causes of the plane crash. During this, the steps to be taken to prevent plane crashes were discussed.


Sources said that in the meeting, the participants talked about the possible causes of plane crashes and made SOPs to prevent such incidents. The meeting held on monday included representatives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of home Affairs, indian air Force, Intelligence Bureau, government of Gujarat, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. The committee has prepared to submit its report within three months.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has also started investigating the air india plane crash. Many international experts visited the accident site. Officials said that since the plane was made in the US, the US NTSB is investigating the incident under international protocols. For the last two days, many foreign experts were seen examining the debris at the accident site to find clues.


The accident is being investigated by the air accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), which comes under the Aviation Ministry. On Sunday, Aviation minister K. ram mohan Naidu announced the formation of a committee to investigate the accident.

Within a minute of takeoff, the plane crashed into the hostel of BJ Medical college campus in Ahmedabad. 241 out of 242 passengers died in the accident. While only one passenger survived. More than 270 people died in this accident.
