A statement has been issued by the Ministry of Defense of india on friday (27 June). According to the statement, the ministers of both the countries held in-depth discussions on the need to maintain peace and harmony on the India-China border.

3488 km long disputed border between india and China
During the talks with the Chinese Defense Minister, Rajnath Singh emphasized on border management and supported a permanent solution to the demarcation of the border by reactivating the established mechanism on this issue. Actually, there is a 3,488 km long disputed LAC (border) between india and China. This border extends from eastern Ladakh to Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. But, this border has been disputed since the 1962 war.
