The madras high court today granted conditional bail to actors srikanth and Krishna, who were arrested and imprisoned in a drug case. Former AIADMK executive Prashanth was arrested and sent to jail in a dispute that took place at a private bar in Nungambakkam, Chennai. During the police investigation, it was revealed that actor srikanth had purchased drugs from Prashanth. Following this, actor srikanth was arrested. Srikanth's friends pradeep and Kevin were also arrested in this case. Following the investigation, the police came looking for actor Krishna, claiming that he was also involved in the matter. Later, krishna voluntarily surrendered.
Both the arrested actors srikanth and krishna had filed a petition in the madras high court seeking bail. These petitions came up for hearing before Justice nirmal Kumar. The lawyer appearing for srikanth argued that "no drugs were seized from Srikanth." Similarly, the lawyer appearing for krishna argued that "the medical examination did not prove that krishna used drugs."
After hearing the arguments of all the parties, Judge nirmal kumar announced that the verdict on the bail petitions would be given today. Accordingly, the judge has ordered conditional bail for both srikanth and krishna today. The complete details of the bail conditions are not yet available.
