The online shop has been encouraged to remove the listing immediately by thousands of X users, who have supported the need for an apology.

"I vehemently condemn the egregious act of selling doormats with the sacred image of Lord Jagannath on AliExpress!" the BJD leader wrote, calling the behavior "shameless." Millions of followers' deepest feelings are offended by this blatant obscenity, which completely disregards the holy imagery. Those guilty must be held accountable for this egregious defilement.

The obvious disregard for hinduism is brought home by the fact that Lord Jagannath's image is being treated as a product. To right this grave transgression and restore the esteemed deity's dignity, immediate action is necessary.
