Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin has stated that numerous development projects have been successfully implemented for the overall growth and transformation of chennai under the Dravidian Model of governance. Speaking at a public function in the city, the chief minister highlighted the government’s sustained efforts to strengthen Chennai’s infrastructure, economy, and quality of life.
He noted that the Dravidian Model places people at the center of development, ensuring inclusive growth that benefits all sections of society. Under this approach, chennai has seen significant progress in areas such as urban infrastructure, public transport, healthcare, education, housing, and flood mitigation.
The chief minister emphasized that several large-scale projects, including road modernization, expansion of stormwater drainage systems, metro rail development, and improvement of public spaces, have been undertaken to make chennai a resilient and future-ready metropolis. Special attention has been given to addressing long-standing civic issues, particularly those related to flooding and traffic congestion.
Mr. stalin also pointed out that welfare-oriented initiatives, combined with sustainable urban planning, have helped improve the standard of living for Chennai’s residents. He reiterated that the government remains committed to balancing rapid urban development with social justice, environmental protection, and economic growth.
