Chennai: The tamil Nadu cabinet, under the leadership of chief minister M.K. Stalin, has given its approval to the Interim Budget at a cabinet meeting held in chennai on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by senior ministers and top government officials, during which key financial and administrative matters were discussed. The Interim Budget was reviewed in detail, focusing on the state’s revenue, expenditure priorities, and welfare commitments.
Officials said the Interim Budget is aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of government departments and the uninterrupted implementation of welfare schemes until the presentation of the full budget. The Cabinet’s approval clears the way for the Interim Budget to be presented in the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly in the coming days.
The chief minister emphasized fiscal responsibility while continuing key development and social welfare initiatives. He also instructed ministers and departments to ensure effective execution of budgetary provisions for the benefit of the people.
With the Cabinet’s consent now in place, the state government is expected to formally table the Interim Budget in the assembly shortly, marking an important step in the financial planning process for the upcoming period.
