Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK President M.K. stalin said that the Dravidian Model movement is being consciously handed back to the younger generation with the launch and strengthening of the DMK youth Wing. He made these remarks while addressing the DMK youth Wing Southern Zone Conference held at Virudhunagar.

Speaking at the conference, the chief minister said that the Dravidian movement has historically been driven by the energy, ideas, and leadership of young people, and the time has come once again to empower the youth to take the movement forward. He emphasized that the youth Wing has been launched with the clear objective of nurturing future leaders who are socially conscious, politically aware, and committed to social justice.

M.K. stalin highlighted that the Dravidian Model of governance focuses on equality, social justice, inclusive development, and welfare for all sections of society. He said the DMK government’s policies and schemes reflect these principles and that the youth must play a crucial role in protecting and strengthening this model against divisive and authoritarian forces.

The chief minister also called upon young party cadres to actively engage with people at the grassroots level, understand public issues, and work tirelessly to address them. He urged them to use modern tools, technology, and social media responsibly to spread the ideals of the Dravidian movement and counter misinformation.

Referring to the achievements of the DMK government, M.K. stalin said that several welfare schemes related to education, employment, healthcare, and social empowerment are aimed at securing a better future for young people. He encouraged the youth Wing members to act as a bridge between the government and the people, ensuring that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries.

The conference witnessed the participation of thousands of youth Wing members from across the southern districts of tamil Nadu. Senior party leaders and office-bearers were also present at the event, reaffirming the party’s commitment to youth leadership and organizational strengthening.

Concluding his address, the chief minister expressed confidence that the youth Wing would serve as the backbone of the DMK in the coming years and play a decisive role in taking the Dravidian Model to greater heights.
